Since the Hollywood takeover, Wrexham has transformed into a globally known name with many players keen to join the exciting project.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have invested in and progressed the club at a rapid pace with the club’s infrastructure needing to follow the success on the pitch.
With Phil Parkinson preparing for Wrexham’s first League One campaign in 19 years, now is the time for the owners to prepare for the future.
The club needed to strengthen its academy by making small steps to put plans in place after an exciting deal was agreed with a local school.
With a huge success on the pitch, Reynolds and McElhenney must ensure they can support the club’s infrastructure and academy to follow suit.

The next step for the club to grow is being able to produce quality academy stars for future first-team squads.
The current academy set-up needs investment and support from the owners. Initial agreements have taken place, but there is a need for drastic improvement in the club’s facilities for the younger generations.
Being able to offer younger talents an opportunity to join the Wrexham project and be part of a strong academy would be a huge positive for the club, with the right planning it would help the club progress.
The club have aspirations of becoming an EFL Category Three-Two Academy. If this is to be acquired in the future, more investment and work from the academy needs to take place, as it will benefit the ownership, the club, and the community.

Max Cleworth is a perfect example of why the Wrexham academy should seek investment
The owners have seen first-hand that an academy graduate being progressed into the first team is a special moment.
Max Cleworth has increasingly become a first-team regular in the past couple of seasons.
Cleworth has recently signed a new contract extension with the Red Dragons to keep him at the club until 2027.
Parkinson was keen to keep the promising youngster as it offers a foundation to build around. The owners should recognise that Cleworth is the perfect example as to why they should look to invest in the academy.
It could offer the club the opportunity to develop more talents for the manager to bleed into his squad and provide another source of quality for the club to turn to.
Wrexham will be a big force in the EFL with the on-field success, but, if the club can add a strong academy to its infrastructure the future of the Red Dragons will look more exciting and more sustainable going forward.
