The January transfer window is just around the corner with Wrexham likely to do business in another important month.

After a successful first half of the season, the January transfer window could define Wrexham’s campaign.

The club are aiming for their third successive promotion as Phil Parkinson looks to take the Red Dragons into the Championship.

Additions in January could be crucial in seeing this over the line as multiple teams around them strengthen for the final push.

However, another important aspect of the month is departures, particularly players who are set to leave on loan.

A temporary move away from Wrexham can help a player regain form, fitness or simply help them play regular football.

As a result, The Wrexham Insider has highlighted three players Parkinson must loan out in the upcoming window.

One of Wrexham’s best upcoming players is Aaron James. The 19-year-old has come through The Red Dragons Academy and has featured throughout the last three campaigns.

Throughout this time, the defender has continued to develop at a promising rate with James praised heavily for his performance vs Crewe in the EFL Trophy where he scored the winner.

However, the youngster is yet to experience regular first-team football as his entire career has been based with Wrexham.

With James now 19 years old, regular football could do the defender wonders in his development rather than being used sparingly.

James has already admitted that he would like a loan move in January which would make sense for all parties involved.

Modou Faal

Modou Faal was signed from West Brom in the summer with the 21-year-old full of potential. However, since his move to Wrexham, the forward has failed to set the world alight.

So far this campaign, Faal has only made seven appearances in all competitions and has found the net once.

In early December, his struggles were on full show. In the EFL Cup, Faal underperformed against Crewe and only managed one shot on target.

Parkinson has constantly stated how much he rates Faal, however, the current strategy is clearly not working.

Therefore, a loan move for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign could do the striker the world of good. He would get regular game time and have a chance to prove his ability to the rest of the EFL.

Josh Adam

Another upcoming star that Wrexham signed in the summer was Josh Adam. The former Man City academy player was a regular at the club’s youth level before he was released in May.

After a successful trial, Parkinson decided to bring in the 20-year-old on a short-term deal that will last until the summer.

However, since then, the 20-year-old has only featured in two EFL Trophy games and has yet to make an appearance on the bench in the league.

Parkinson has insisted that Adam is a ‘quality’ player despite the limited game time. Therefore, if the Wrexham manager sees potential in the youngster, it would make sense if he were to secure a loan move in January.

Adam is at a crucial stage in his career and needs to be playing regularly. If the midfielder has a future at Wrexham a loan move would be ideal to ensure his development isn’t stalled.
