Wrexham should consider an attempt to make a loan move for a Premier League youngster after the latest transfer decision.

More summer arrivals are expected at Wrexham with manager Phil Parkinson keen to continue the summer spending.

The former Sunderland boss revealed his concerns about the squad and his desire in the window after recent transfer talks with Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Despite signing five new players, the 56-year-old coach believes he needs extra quality to help the Red Dragons be competitive in the coming League One campaign.

The former Bradford City coach may look to strengthen his attacking options after improving his midfield and defensive line with the summer signings of George Dobson, Lewis Brunt, and Sebastian Revan.

The club also secured the signatures of goalkeepers Arthur Okonkwo, and Callum Burton.

Wrexham has recently been linked with making early enquiries into a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Will Lankshear.

Parkinson may have another opportunity to bring in a young Premier League gem in Joe Hugill after Manchester United have reportedly made a transfer decision on the young striker.

Wrexham should consider a loan move for Joe Hugill

Manchester United striker Joe Hugill has recently impressed during the Premier League club’s pre-season fixtures.

The young striker scored an impressive goal in United’s 2-0 win against Rangers at the Murrayfield Stadium.

The Premier League gem is expected to feature on United’s pre-season tour in the United States but a transfer decision for the coming season has been made.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has decided that Hugill will go out on loan in the coming campaign.

The youngster has previously had a loan spell at Burton Albion last year.

With the promising striker having a good reputation at his parent club, Wrexham should consider a loan approach for the 20-year-old forward.

Why Wrexham should consider Joe Hugill loan move

The North Wales club should consider making a move for Hugill as it would provide strong competition for places in the striking department.

Wrexham have previously been a strong platform for young players to gain experience and develop.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster impressed during his time at the Racecourse in his younger years and later went on to achieve a solid career in the Premier League.

Hugill will be eager to impress during a loan spell and could provide Parkinson with a youthful star to add a different profile to his squad.

During his loan spell at Burton Albion the young forward made four goal contributions in League One, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

The 20-year-old has been impressive in pre-season and will be looking for a good opportunity on loan.

Wrexham is an exciting prospect for any player to join and could provide a strong foundation for Hugill to develop.

With Parkinson keen to add further depth to his squad, a loan move for the Manchester United youngster could be a good opportunity to consider.
