Wrexham have signalled that Conor Coady will not be the last signing the club makes this summer.
Phil Parkinson is looking forward to two matches against Dutch outfit Groningen as his side make their final preparations before the season opener at Southampton.
Wrexham confirmed the signing of Coady and are hopeful that the defender can play a part in one of the clashes to get some valuable minutes under his belt.
With the Red Dragons also close to signing Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town, their ambition is now stretching to another Premier League player – this time in the loan market.

Wrexham interested in signing Pedro Lima on loan from Wolves
According to the Express and Star Wolves podcast, Wrexham are interested in taking 19-year-old defender Pedro Lima on loan this season.
The Brazilian made his debut for the club last season before making a total of six appearances in all competitions and the Red Dragons could be about to offer him some first-team football in the Championship.
It is claimed: “Lima is an interesting one. He will be going off with Brazil in the 20s for a tournament with them, which I think is around September time, so he will be off for a little bit during the season.
“But he’s being lined up for a loan move as it stands, whether that happens in the summer or because of these Brazilian matches, whether he maybe goes in January instead.
“Wolves like him, obviously. But yeah, he needs to go and play I think and not be sat around doing anything.
“So that’s the plan for him, Wrexham in the championship have been, are a team that have shown an interest in taking him. So that could be one that moves. I mean Pedro Lima to Wrexham. Yeah absolutely, fascinating to watch him.”
Pedro Lima had an impressive Wolves debut last season
At such a young age, Lima would be an outlier from the usual type of signing that Parkinson likes to make but could offer something different to the squad.
His natural position is at right back but Lima impressed on his Wolves debut with some marauding runs down the right flank against Nottingham Forest.
That performance suggests he could be an option to play in the right wing back role and provide some competition for Ryan Longman and Ryan Barnett.
If he were to sign for the club on loan, he would become only the second loanee that Parkinson has signed during his tenure behind Arthur Okonkwo, who has of course since signed on a permanent deal.
Wrexham are still exploring a number of options in the transfer market and are leaving no stone unturned as they try to build a competitive squad for the upcoming campaign.
