Wrexham have made three signings this summer but a fourth name could be heading to the Racecourse Ground soon.

It was confirmed over the weekend that Wrexham have signed Liberato Cacace in a new club-record deal.

The left-back followed two more players through the door, the first of which was Ryan Hardie.

After Hardie, Wrexham confirmed a move for Danny Ward, who became a free agent after his Leicester City contract expired.

Now, the Red Dragons could be about to sign another player who has one thing in common with Ward.

Wrexham fourth summer transfer teased

It was reported back in June by journalist Rich Fay that Wrexham had enquired about Davis Keillor-Dunn.

He said when speaking on the Rob Ryan Red podcast: “Davis Keillor-Dunn. My understanding there is no club has submitted an official offer for Keillor-Dunn yet to Barnsley. But a fee in the region of £2.5-£3m, that is the price point where you will get a deal over the line.

“I’m told that Parkinson has made an enquiry; he knows the price, and now it’s a waiting game.”

Now, the Rob Ryan Red X/Twitter page, which is run by Salt and Rich Fay, has teased that the Barnsley attacker could be close to signing.

They posted a photo of Keillor-Dunn, with the caption ‘One to watch…’ followed by two emojis.

Like Ward, Keillor-Dunn has already spent time on the books of the Red Dragons.

He arrived on a free after being without a club following his release from Ross County in 2019.

The 27-year-old made six appearances during a brief spell with the Welsh outfit in 2020, scoring one goal.

For Barnsley, meanwhile, he found the back of the net 18 times and assisted five in 45 League One fixtures last term.
