Wrexham have officially completed their third signing of the summer, signing Liberato Cacace.
Ryan Hardie became the Red Dragons’ first signing of the summer, joining from Plymouth Argyle.
Hardie scored on his Wrexham debut, coming off the bench in a 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory.
Danny Ward was next through the door, joining on a free transfer after previously leaving the Welsh club for Liverpool.
Now, Wrexham are paying up to £4m for Cacace, including bonuses, and the player has given his first interview since signing.
It’s the fifth time the Dragons have broken their transfer record under Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

Liberato Cacace says why he signed for Wrexham
The defender has joined from Italian side Empoli, signing a three-year deal to keep him at the Racecourse Ground until 2027/28.
The player has now given his first interview since swapping the Serie B for North Wales.
He said to the club’s media team: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for this historic Club, and I just can’t wait to get started.
“Looking from the outside, what they are creating here is something I want to be part of. The family they have here – it’s a tight-knit Club and that enticed me.
On why he wanted to join Wrexham, Cacace revealed he ‘really’ wanted the move after speaking to manager Phil Parkinson.
He continued: “I had a great phone call with the manager, and after that I really wanted to sign.”

Phil Parkinson on Wrexham signing Liberato Cacace
Parkinson has also given his thoughts on the Dragons’ latest 2025 summer transfer arrival.
He said: “We are delighted to welcome Libby to Wrexham and look forward to integrating him with the squad on our return home.”
Cacace is a natural left-back so will likely be competing with James McClean for a starting berth, though he can also play in midfield.
McClean has already commented on the Wrexham arrival while away with the club on their pre-season tour.
