Wrexham had to make changes after securing back-to-back promotions and Phil Parkinson wanted to re-tool his back line.
We are now just days away from the start of the League One campaign and Wrexham will be gearing up to face Wycombe Wanderers.
Phil Parkinson has guided Wrexham from the National League to League One and fans are hoping for a dream start.
The squad has been through plenty of change this summer and Parkinson has a number of new defensive options at this disposal.
Lewis Brunt offers great versatility and Wrexham pulled off something of a coup by hijacking Peterborough United’s deal for him.
Wing back Sebastian Revan has arrived and impressed in pre-season before Dan Scarr left Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle for a move to the STōK Cae Ras.
Jordan Tunnicliffe lands new club after Wrexham exit
Wrexham have only brought in these new defensive additions having let some players go.
Aaron Hayden and Ben Tozer were let go at the end of their contracts and have joined Carlisle United and Forest Green Rovers respectively.
Callum McFadzean has been released too, paving the way for Wrexham to make changes at the back.
Jordan Tunnicliffe was on that list of released players, but there has been some confusion over his future.
Reports in July noted that a contract mistake meant Tunnicliffe was actually contracted at Wrexham until 2025 – not 2024 as previously thought.
Wrexham have resolved the issue and Tunnicliffe has already managed to find himself a new club.
National League side Solihull Moors have confirmed the signing of Tunnicliffe, penning a one-year deal with the club.
Tunnicliffe hails from Nuneaton, just 30 minutes away from Solihull, meaning he is able to return home with his next move.

Solihull Moors boss on Tunnicliffe
Solihull Moors are looking to finally secure promotion from the National League after a number of close misses in recent years.
Tunnicliffe has won promotion from the National League with Wrexham and that experience could be vital for Solihull Moors.
Boss Andy Whing has praised the move, admitting that he is ‘absolutely delighted’ to have secured Tunnicliffe’s signature.
Whing highlighted Tunnicliffe’s record in terms of getting out of the National League and believes his experience at a higher level will be vital.
“We’re absolutely delighted to sign Jordan and we’re really looking forward to working with him,” said Whing. “He’s been promoted out of this league and has played higher which is really important and what we’ve looked for this summer going in to another tough campaign.”
“I think with how well we did last season, the calibre of player like Jordan are wanting to come here and keep pushing the club forward,” he added.
Wrexham fans will certainly wish Tunnicliffe all the best as he makes his next move with a return to the EFL no doubt in his sights.
