Wrexham are not only looking for experienced players but also some younger talents to develop for the future.

The transfer window has yet to really get going for Wrexham, but the rumours have been rife in recent weeks.

Wrexham have been linked with so many potential signings – and most of them are in their 30s.

Tom Cairney, Aaron Cresswell, Danny Ings, Craig Dawson, the list just goes on and on.

The perception that Parkinson only signs veteran players is a little wide of the mark, though, as Wrexham have signed younger players alongside the experience in recent times.

Wrexham are allegedly interested in Myles Peart-Harris, with the 22-year-old back at Brentford after a loan spell at Swansea City.

Wrexham target Myles Peart-Harris has described his playing style

Peart-Harris came up in the Chelsea ranks before heading to Brentford in 2021.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Swansea City, though his season was cut short through injury in March.

Peart-Harris chipped in with three goals and four assists in 29 Championship games last season, while predominantly playing as a winger either on the left or right flank.

Wrexham do not play with wingers in Phil Parkinson’s 3-5-2 system, but Peart-Harris would seemingly rather play elsewhere.

Speaking on Swansea’s official website after joining the club on loan, Peart-Harris admitted that he loves to play as a number eight with the freedom to attack the box.

That profile fits perfectly with a three-man midfield, especially with the protection of a holding midfielder such as Matty James or George Dobson.

Peart-Harris noted that he has played in a number of positions, but again highlighted his desire to use his athleticism to run off the back of opposing players and score goals in the box.

“I like playing as an attacking number eight who can get into the box, but I have played in a number of positions over the last few seasons,” said Peart-Harris.

“I have played on the wings, as a striker, as a number 10, and wherever the manager wants me to play I will try and do a job.

“I am powerful, strong and athletic. I like to make runs in behind defenders to get in the box, and ultimately score goals, and I hope I can score plenty of goals for this club this season,” he added.

Myles Peart-Harris would offer something different to Wrexham

Wrexham have seen Elliot Lee and Ollie Rathbone score goals from midfield in recent seasons.

Lee’s quality around the box has seen him rack up the goals whilst Rathbone’s energy breaking from midfield has been brilliant to watch.

Peart-Harris is a little different in that he is a tall and athletic midfielder who can bring a real presence when attacking the box.

Rathbone and Lee are outstanding midfielders and so crafty around the box, but Peart-Harris offers something different thanks to his physical qualities.

Perhaps Parkinson believes Wrexham need that extra dimension from midfield in order to try and break down teams who sit in at the STōK Cae Ras.

That was a problem in League One at times and Parkinson highlighted the need for pace and power at Wrexham ahead of playing in the Championship, with Peart-Harris attacking space from deep potentially a welcome addition to this Wrexham side.
