Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds backed Wrexham heavily in the most recent transfer window.
The Hollywood owners have not been shy about splashing the cash in Wales, especially during the 2024 summer transfer window.
After securing promotion to League One, Phil Parkinson was able to bring in eight new first-team players this past summer.
The big spending began last month when Ollie Rathbone left Rotherham for Wrexham in a £500,000 switch that was, at least for a few weeks, the most money the club had ever spent on a player.
However, that record was then broken on August 30th when Wrexham confirmed the signing of West Bromwich Albion striker Modou Faal on a three-year deal.
Faal cost the Red Dragons £590,000, which is now their new transfer record, quickly surpassing the fee paid for Rathbone earlier in the month.

How much Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds spent at Wrexham this summer
On top of the aforementioned duo, Arthur Okonkwo, George Dobson, Callum Burton, Dan Scarr, Lewis Brunt and Sebastian Revan all moved to the Racecourse Ground in the last few months.
But just how much did all these new signings set Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds back?
Well, Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has now revealed that figure.
Speaking live on talkSPORT, the Peterborough chief detailed a conversation he had with Wrexham’s CEO, during which he was told the figure the Welsh side spent this summer.
He said: “Peterborough are the second biggest spenders in League One this summer I think we spent over £2.1m on transfer fees and I think obviously Birmingham spent millions more.
“But after that, I was speaking to the Wrexham CEO on Saturday, I think he said they spent about £1.4m, so I think they are third. But after that we look at the mass majority of deals, it’s free signings, it’s loan deals.
“Yes, there’s been a bit of business in the Championship but League One, League 2, there hasn’t been a massive outlay in transfer fees.”

Wrexham should no longer be criticised for spending
When their new owners took the reigns in 2021, it is easy to see why fans of lower-league clubs may not have been happy.
Wrexham were not even in League Two but were still able to secure big signings like Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer, both of which dropped down the football pyramid to join the club.
While footballing reasons were given by the players for their decision to move, there will always be some skepticism that it was for money.
However, now Wrexham are in League One, they are nowhere close to being the biggest spenders in the division and should no longer be painted as a side that pay out ridiculous sums for stars.
That mantle should instead go to Birmingham City, who are set to pay around £20m to Fulham for the signing of Jay Stansfield.
