Wrexham will look for new strikers this summer as Phil Parkinson looks to add new firepower to his squad in the Championship.
Wrexham fans are waiting for the first signing of the summer after clinching promotion to the Championship.
Reports suggest Wrexham are ready to splash the cash, but that has yet to materialise.
Phil Parkinson doesn’t tend to strike early business, but Wrexham are being linked with so many players.
Reports suggest Wrexham are looking at Danny Ings, with the striker available on a free transfer after leaving West Ham United.
The veteran striker would certainly bring a proven source of goals to Parkinson’s attacking options, but there is competition.

Watford rival Wrexham in Danny Ings race
The Wrexham Insider reported just days ago that Wrexham had spoken to Ings’ representatives about a potential move to the STōK Cae Ras.
That is now backed up by Sky Sports, who state that Wrexham have been in talks to land Ings.
Watford are also believed to be interested in Ings, with the Hornets looking into a move of their own.
Tom Cleverley was recently axed as Watford boss, with Uruguayan Paulo Pezzolano taking the reins.
Watford have already made three signings this summer, with Nathan Baxter, Marc Bola and Hector Kyprianou all arriving at Vicarage Road.
Ings is now Watford’s latest target, with Wrexham facing significant competition in the race for his signature.
Watford are a stable Championship club and would allow Ings to remain in his current location having spent two-and-a-half years with West Ham.
Wrexham’s project will surely appeal to Ings, but Watford’s own push for the striker should not be simply shrugged off.

Ben Foster verdict on Danny Ings
We’ve heard it all before about how Wrexham ‘only sign ageing players’.
It’s complete nonsense; Wrexham have been mixing young signings in with experience, people just choose to overlook them.
Ings would be a signing in his 30s, but it’s difficult not to get excited about his quality in front of goal.
Ings hit 41 Premier League goals in three seasons for Southampton before 13 goals in 18 months with Aston Villa.
A 2022 move to West Ham United didn’t quite work out as planned, but Ings still has so much quality in his locker at 32.
Former Wrexham goalkeeper Ben Foster has been a fan in years gone by, stating on his YouTube channel in 2021 that Ings marries effort and work rate with his quality around the penalty area.
“He will score you goals, he will chase, he will harry, he doesn’t give you a second’s breath. He’s got that quality as well to put the ball in the back of the net,” said Foster.
Ings may not be the player he was a few years ago, but we would certainly back him to score goals in Wrexham’s attack if Parkinson can secure his signature.
