Wrexham have offered contracts to two Premier League players and have held talks with Ben Davies and Danny Ings, Wrexham Insider understands.
Phil Parkinson is eyeing Premier League quality and after the departures of Steven Fletcher and Mark Howard, experience is a desired trait for the Wrexham manager.
Fans were delighted with links to Ben Davies and he is not the only Premier League defender the club are interested in.
Wrexham are interested in Danny Ings as they also seek to bolster their attacking options ahead of the Championship challenge and now the waiting game begins as to who Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney can lure to the Racecourse Ground.

Wrexham offer contracts to Aaron Cresswell and Craig Dawson
Craig Dawson is attracting Wrexham interest and Wrexham Insider can now reveal that he and his former West Ham United teammate Aaron Cresswell have been offered contracts by the club.
TBR Football’s Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey has revealed that deals have been offered to Dawson and Cresswell, whilst talks have also been held with Davies and Ings over potential moves.
Bailey stated: “Wrexham are going for this, they recognise experience as being important – if they can secure the likes of Craig Dawson and Aaron Cresswell, that would be a very good start and to be fair on frees, they would be hugely astute captures.
“The big thing for Wrexham is that they are trusting Phil Parkinson – he is moulding this squad. Very exciting times for Wrexham indeed.”
Cresswell wants to stay in the Premier League but if no suitable offers arrive, it appears the Red Dragons are right there in the race for his signature.
Wrexham transfer strategy becoming clear
Parkinson has moved through the leagues by signing experienced players from higher divisions and with the latest news, that strategy is set to be repeated this summer.
All four linked players have bundles of experience in the Premier League and have also tasted the rigours of the second tier.
Wrexham should still target talent on loan in order to have that blend of youth and experience however, they are continuing to go about their business in a smart way.
Shaun Harvey’s free agent prediction is looking very strong right now and if the club can get the deals over the line, it would represent an excellent start to their summer business.
