Wrexham have spent their share of money this summer.
Hollywood duo Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds became owners of Wrexham in February 2021.
During their three-year stint at the Racecourse Ground, the American duo have backed the Red Dragons very well.
Less than a year after their arrival, Wrexham smashed their transfer record to sign Ollie Palmer for £300,000 in January 2022.
The incomings and money have continued to flow in Wales. Phil Parkinson was allowed to make nine senior signings during the club’s promotion-winning 2023/24 season, including spending £290,000 and captain James McClean.
This summer has seen McElhenney and Reynolds continue to fund their manager as he aims to navigate League One for the first time in the club’s history.
So far, they have made seven signings in the current transfer window, the latest seeing Ollie Rathbone join Wrexham from Rotherham United for a club-record fee.
But where do Wrexham rank in the League One spending table this summer?

Where Wrexham rank in the League One spending table this summer
As is to be expected given the wealth of their owners, Wrexham are quite high up on the list of League One spenders so far this summer.
But not too unsurprisingly, it is one of the recently relegated teams who top the list for most money paid out this summer, as per Transfermarkt.
Birmingham City have paid out a staggering £15.12m so far this summer, with nearly a third of that on new centre-back Christoph Klarer from Darmstadt 98.
The Blues completely dominate when comparing their expenditure to any other side in League One, with Charlton Athletic second with £1.18m.
Peterborough United claim third place with £1.02m, and Parkinson’s Wrexham are currently eighth with £500,000 paid out for players.

Wrexham are expected to spend some more money
While Wrexham are currently eighth in the League One spending table for this window, they may leapfrog a couple of teams very soon.
This comes as Sheffield Wednesday star Michael Smith is on Wrexham’s radar, with discussions understood to have taken place between the two clubs over a sale.
Parkinson could raid the Owls for a second player before the transfer window slams shut in two weeks as well.
Wrexham want to take Bailey Cadamarteri on loan from Danny Rohl’s side this month.
A loan move would not cost them anything in terms of transfer fees but would likely bump up their wage bill unless Wednesday are willing to keep paying the striker’s full wage.
Wrexham were interested Joe Morrell of Portsmouth as well, but he recently suffered a long-term injury that has likely killed off a potential summer switch.
