Wrexham have added three new attacking signings this summer as Phil Parkinson chases goals in the Championship.
Wrexham kicked off the season at Southampton and appeared to be closing in on a dream start to the campaign.
Josh Windass fired Wrexham in front in the first half, but two late Southampton goals handed Phil Parkinson a tough defeat on the opening day.
Windass opening his account for Wrexham was a major boost, though, and fellow summer signing Ryan Hardie almost did the same in the second half.
Kieffer Moore picked up an injury, but Wrexham’s third attacking signing of the summer certainly impressed as the focal point in attack.
Parkinson will hope for positive news on Moore’s injury, but can be pleased with Wrexham’s attacking additions this summer.

Wrexham stance on Richard Kone
Wrexham have been linked with other attackers this summer, and a lengthy lay-off for Moore may be the only inspiration for another striking addition.
One name on the radar is Richard Kone, who impressed for Wycombe as they battled Wrexham for promotion from League One last season.
Kone hit 21 goals in all competitions last season as he made a remarkable rise from playing in the Essex Senior League.
Wrexham were interested in Kone earlier in the summer, before Wycombe allegedly dropped their asking price on the Ivorian.
Sport Bible’s Jack Kenmare now notes that Queens Park Rangers have agreed a £5million deal to sign Kone and bring him to the Championship.
The deal will consist of £2.75million up front and a further £2.25million in add-ons, while the Chairboys will hold a 22.5% sell-on clause.
It’s claimed that Wrexham ‘made contact’ in the race for Kone, but didn’t take the move any further.
Parkinson may have been impressed with Kone last season, as many were, but possibly preferred the experience of Moore over Kone when considering who would lead the Wrexham attack.
When will Richard Kone face Wrexham?
Barring a late Wrexham hijack, which looks unlikely even with Moore’s injury, Kone will be playing against Parkinson’s side again this season.
Wrexham will face QPR early this season, welcoming Kone and co to the STōK Cae Ras on September 13.
Wrexham head to West London for the reverse fixture on January 24 2026, with Kone now expected to be involved in both games.
Kone scored against Wrexham on the opening weekend last season, but Parkinson will be desperate to keep him quiet when facing the striker again this term.
