Wrexham are still pushing for more signings ahead of the summer transfer deadline, with a new defender on Phil Parkinson’s wish list.
Wrexham have wrapped up 10 new signings this summer, committing more than £20million in transfer fees after promotion to the Championship.
Phil Parkinson still wants more signings, though, and the rumour mill has been in overdrive ahead of deadline day.
Wrexham are in talks to sign Ben Sheaf from Coventry City, while Everton teenager Harrison Armstrong is on Phil Parkinson’s radar.
Another defender also appears to be a target alongside fellow summer arrivals Conor Coady and Callum Doyle.

Wrexham fail with new Zak Vyner bid
Reports this weekend suggested that Wrexham had made a bid to sign Zak Vyner from Bristol City.
The Robins had rejected an offer of around £1.75million for Vyner, though talks were still ongoing.
Sky Sports now add that Wrexham have made a new bid worth £2million – but Bristol City have again refused to agree a deal.
Wrexham are not backing down, but neither are Championship rivals Bristol City.
The Robins see Vyner as an ‘integral part’ of their squad, and a player they simply cannot afford to lose.
Vyner is inside the final 12 months of his contract, but Bristol City still don’t want to cash in on the defender.
It’s added that talks are still ongoing between the two clubs, suggesting that Wrexham may still have a chance to secure a deal.
Time is ticking, though, with Wrexham now having just over 24 hours to tempt Bristol City into parting with their homegrown defender.

Zak Vyner surely lined up as competition for Max Cleworth
Wrexham added Coady to the heart of Parkinson’s back three earlier this summer, with Doyle joining on the left side.
Vyner would now be an addition on the right side of Wrexham’s defence, potentially as competition for Max Cleworth.
The 28-year-old plays on the right of Bristol City’s back three, meaning he would be right at home in Wrexham’s back line.
Vyner is a proven Championship player, racking up more than 200 appearances in the second tier with Bristol City.
Bristol City understandably don’t want to let Vyner leave, but Wrexham aren’t backing down and may come back with a third bid in the coming hours.
