Wrexham were back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon as Ryan Barnett’s early goal proved to be the winner against Mansfield Town.
Wrexham fans were dreaming of an FA Cup run this season but were left disappointed against Harrogate Town last week.
Phil Parkinson watched on as his side huffed and puffed but ultimately came away with a 1-0 defeat.
FA Cup elimination hurt but Wrexham had a chance to get back on track against Mansfield Town.
Ryan Barnett scored the only goal of the game, firing a low drive past Christy Pym with less than 10 minutes on the clock.
Barnett angered Paul Mullin by not passing to him but that moment proved crucial as Wrexham saw the game out to win 1-0.

Andy Morrell praises Wrexham midfielder
This was a real team effort from Wrexham but there were some impressive individual performances too.
Barnett grabbed the headlines once again as he found the net whilst Andy Morrell has praised Wrexham substitute Ollie Rathbone.
Morrell has now taken to social media to add praise a couple more Wrexham players for their performances.
Morrell felt that striker Ollie Palmer was right in contention for the Man of the Match award against Mansfield Town, praising his work rate up top.
However, former Wrexham hero Morrell added that one player pipped Palmer to the award in his eyes.
Morrell praised midfielder George Dobson as the best player on the pitch, helping Wrexham pick up a ‘great three points’.
George Dobson is already one of Parkinson’s key players
Wrexham appeared to have secured a real coup by signing Dobson on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic over the summer.
A top League One performer, Dobson’s arrival was praised by Phil Parkinson after signing for Wrexham.
Parkinson and Dobson worked together at Sunderland and it’s no surprise to see the former Arsenal loanee taking on a huge role at Wrexham.
Dobson has now started all 14 of Wrexham’s league games this season and hasn’t even missed a minute.
Dobson’s durability – touch wood – has been admirable and whilst Phil Parkinson has raved about the signing of Arthur Okonkwo, Dobson is proving himself to be just as important.
