Wrexham take on Leicester City in the Championship on Tuesday night, and Benjamin Bloom has given his score prediction for the game.

Wrexham travel to Leicester City for their next Championship game, and it’s certainly another tough one for Phil Parkinson’s side who are finding form on the road.

Last time out, Wrexham drew 1-1 with Derby County at the Racecourse as they remain winless at home in the Championship this season, despite sitting 6th in the away form table.

Leicester City meanwhile have the 7th best home record in the league but have drawn their last three league matches, with the last being a 1-1 away at West Brom.

As things stand, the Foxes sit in 5th place of the Championship table compared to Wrexham in 15th place.

Leicester City vs Wrexham score prediction shared as goals expected

Wrexham have certainly brought entertainment to the Championship this season with 12 scored and 13 conceded in their opening seven games of the campaign.

And speaking on the Championship Check In podcast, EFL expert Benjamin Bloom has predicted more goals in the Leicester City and Wrexham game, albeit a Leicester City.

He explained: “It’s starting to come good for Wrexham, isn’t it? I think now Hyam and Sheaf, particularly Kabore, O’Brien is doing really well, Broadhead’s back as well… Sam [Parkin, co-presenter] has gone Leicester three, Wrexham one. He thinks there’s goals in it for Leicester.

“I think it’ll be a little bit tighter. I have got Wrexham to score. They’ve got big threat from set plays and they do cross the ball in from their wing-backs and get the likes of O’Brien into the box. He scored at the weekend. Kabore’s piling the assists on.

“I think Leicester will have too much. So I’m not quite as hot on it as Sam is, but I’m going to go Leicester two, Wrexham one.”

Leicester City and Wrexham H2H

As with most Wrexham games this season, it’s another meeting between two sides who really haven’t played against each other all that much in their modern history.

In this instance, Wrexham and Leicester haven’t met since 1982, and in eight games against each other, Wrexham have only won once which was way back in the 1976 League Cup.

But as Bloom explains, Wrexham are starting to tick. O’Brien now has three goals for Wrexham already this season and Kabore has three assists in three games.

Expect the Man City loan man to be key once again, but the issue for the Dragons lies in defence with only one clean sheet in seven league games so far this season.
