Wrexham team news ahead of Derby County clash

Phil Parkinson is likely to make a number of changes from the Carabao Cup victory in midweek and return to a similar starting XI that earned three points against Norwich City.

Broadhead will be hoping that he has done enough to push for a start following his first Wrexham goal, however Windass and Kieffer Moore are beginning to form a formidable partnership up top.

Liberato Cacace is continuing his recovery from injury and it is unclear whether he will be back in contention for the visit of Derby County.

If the New Zealand international is absent, Parkinson once again has to make a decision over whether Ryan Barnett or Ryan Longman move over to the left wing-back role following the impressive debut of Issa Kabore.

Wrexham vs Derby County head-to-head record

Wrexham will be hoping to end a 70-year wait for a home win over Derby County given their last victory came in 1955 in the old third division.

Derby have the upper hand in the head to head record, winning on five occasions with the Red Dragons earning success on two occasions and two draws as per 11 v 11.

Should Parkinson’s side claim three points, they could move into the top half of the Championship and start to believe they can make a push for the play-off places.
