Wrexham claimed a big win on Tuesday night, defeating Lincoln City 1-0 at the STōK Cae Ras thanks to an own goal.
Phil Parkinson was seeking another strong home performance after Saturday’s 3-0 win over Exeter City.
This was a tight game though and it took just one rather fortuitous goal to settle it in Wrexham’s favour.
James McClean fizzed a ball into the box and Lincoln defender Tendayi Darikwa just couldn’t sort his feet out, scoring an own goal to hand Wrexham the win.
Wrexham may have struggled away from home at times this season but the home record is simply outstanding.
Eight wins from nine at the STōK Cae Ras has given Wrexham the backbone of a strong start to the League One season.

Wrexham fans vote for Man of the Match
Wrexham were really tested by Lincoln and Parkinson will be delighted with the three points as his players battled to victory.
Parkinson has hailed Ollie Rathbone’s performance whilst Matty James caught the eye of the Wrexham boss too.
When it came to the Man of the Match award though, Wrexham fans had other ideas.
Wrexham have confirmed that James McClean was voted as Man of the Match by supporters.
McClean helped produce the winning moment as Darikwa just couldn’t handle his ball into the box.
The Irishman continues to play a key role for Wrexham this season and fans clearly appreciate his efforts from left wing back.

McClean’s performance impressed Wrexham fans on Tuesday night and the statistics show his impact.

McClean got the ball into the box with real regularity and whilst it didn’t always pay off, he created two clear chances.
The Irishman did his bit defensively too, chipping in with five clearances, two tackles and one interception.
This was a strong outing from McClean with the 35-year-old continuing to show his importance to this Wrexham side.
