Wrexham claimed a big win on Tuesday night, defeating Lincoln City 1-0 at the STōK Cae Ras thanks to an own goal.

Phil Parkinson was seeking another strong home performance after Saturday’s 3-0 win over Exeter City.

This was a tight game though and it took just one rather fortuitous goal to settle it in Wrexham’s favour.

James McClean fizzed a ball into the box and Lincoln defender Tendayi Darikwa just couldn’t sort his feet out, scoring an own goal to hand Wrexham the win.

Wrexham may have struggled away from home at times this season but the home record is simply outstanding.

Eight wins from nine at the STōK Cae Ras has given Wrexham the backbone of a strong start to the League One season.
