Wrexham and Lincoln City went head-to-head in a League One clash at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday.
Phil Parkison opted to start the same eleven that beat Exeter City 3-0 when they hosted Lincoln City on Tuesday.
Wrexham went into the game looking to maintain their spot in the automatic promotion places for the time being.
But with Birmingham City only four points behind them and having two games in hand, the Red Dragons could not afford to slip up on Tuesday.
When all was said and done, Wrexham beat Lincoln 1-0 to secure a hard-fought three points.
It was a very scrappy first 45 with neither side looking their best. Callum Burton was forced to make a few good saves while Ollie Palmer threatened at the other end.
Wrexham eventually took the lead via a Tendayi Darikwa own goal brought about by a James McClean cross.

Wrexham fans make Elliot Lee point vs Lincoln City
Despite earning a win over Lincoln, Wrexham’s attacking threat, or lack thereof, was disappointing on the night.
After starting alongside Palmer in the 3-0 win over the weekend, Elliot Lee was once again up top versus Lincoln.
However, the natural attacking midfielder really struggled to have a positive impact on the game.
Wrexham fans have since taken to social media to express their thoughts on Lee, with many calling for him to be replaced by Paul Mullin in the forward line.
One fan wrote: “Playing Palmer up front with Lee just behind is not working tonight, got it all too easy the Lincoln defence, we’re not the away side we’re the home team, time to get Mullin on.”
A second fan added: “Lee anonymous again… have Mullin replace him…”
“We need either Mullin to get into form or we need to buy two strikers in January. I can’t make up my mind if the final ball is poor or the forwards are not getting into the correct positions to capitalise,” another supporter claimed.
A fourth Wrexham fan wrote: “Lee really not working up top, needs moving back into midfield.”
“Take a central midfielder off and drop Lee down with Mullin coming on, not working tonight,” a fifth added.
A sixth fan stated: “Really do need a new striker if Parkinson is having to play Lee up top.”
A seventh Wrexham supporter added: “So poor up front, Lee’s not been at it playing behind Palmer.”

How many Wrexham goals has Paul Mullin scored this season
While Lee was off his game against Lincoln, the 29-year-old should not be criticised too harshly.
Parkinson seemingly feels he has been forced to play a midfielder out of position due to his lack of quality striker options right now.
Jack Marriott remains sidelined due to injury and Mullin has really struggled in front of goal this season.
Before Tuesday, the 30-year-old had netted just once in 14 League One outings in 2024/25.
Given he has been the club’s top scorer in the previous two seasons, it is easy to see why Wrexham have not been at their best in the final third of late.
