Wrexham picked up another win on Saturday afternoon as Phil Parkinson watched his side beat Northampton Town 2-0 on the road.
Away form has been a problem for Wrexham this season but nobody can argue with recent results.
Wrexham have now won three away games in a row in all competitions, beating Crawley Town and Port Vale before Saturday’s win at Northampton Town.
Sam Smith opened his account for Wrexham with the opening goal before Ollie Rathbone quickly added number two.
Wrexham supporters would have been forgiven for having some fear after losing the unbeaten home record to Stevenage late in January.
Winning three away games in a row in all competitions has been quite the response though and Wrexham have cut the gap to Wycombe Wanderers to just two points.

Kevin Nolan on Wrexham
Saturday’s result means that Wrexham have now done the double over Northampton his season.
Wrexham hammered the Cobblers 4-1 in October and picked up all three points with a comfortable display at Sixfields on Saturday.
Parkinson will love how Wrexham have handled the last couple of weeks, really bouncing back from that defeat to Stevenage.
Northampton boss Kevin Nolan has now offered his reaction to the game – and shared a verdict on the Wrexham squad.
Speaking to Northampton’s official YouTube channel, Nolan praised Wrexham as a ‘quality side’.
Nolan highlighted that Wrexham are able to bring off one former Premier League and bring on another.
Jay Rodriguez came off for Steven Fletcher in the second half with Nolan no doubt envious of having those options.
Nolan added that Wrexham is a ‘great story’ and ‘one hell of a ride’ right now, wishing the club the best for the rest of the season.
“It is what it is; Wrexham are a quality side,” said Nolan.
“You see with the subs they have and everybody else, bringing an ex-Premier League player off for another ex-Premier League player on, it’s great for them and it’s a great story from their side.
“They’ve obviously got good players haven’t they? They managed the game well and they’ve been used to it now. They’re on a rollercoaster ride, one hell of a ride at the minute, so good luck to them for the rest of the season,” he added.
Busy weeks ahead for Wrexham
Wrexham showed real promotion credentials on Saturday, easing to victory in a potentially tricky away game.
The schedule is relentless though and Wrexham have a packed fixture list coming up.
Leyton Orient are next up though on Tuesday night with Wrexham welcoming Richie Wellens’ side to the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham’s clash with Orient has been moved and Wrexham will be looking to grab another win before heading to Mansfield Town next weekend.
EFL Trophy action takes centre stage just days later with Peterborough United the opponents to see out February.
March starts with three games in a week as Wrexham take on Bolton Wanderers, Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United, so there is truly no rest for Parkinson’s side right now as the end of the season draws closer.
