Wrexham players are now enjoying a well-earned break having finished off the busy festive period last weekend.
The festive period is always a chaotic time and Wrexham went through some ups and downs.
The lows came on the road, drawing 1-1 at Bristol Rovers due to a late equaliser and losing 2-1 at Barnsley on New Year’s Day.
Wrexham were superb at home though, as we expect; Phil Parkinson’s record at the STōK Cae Ras is incredible.
Wrexham beat Blackpool and Wigan Athletic before adding another home win over Peterborough United.
Steven Fletcher scored the winner in all three home wins, coming off the bench to make a huge impact.

BBC pundit on ‘scary’ Wrexham record
Wrexham now don’t play until facing Shrewsbury Town next Thursday night with Parkinson pleased to see his players earn a break.
That break has been even longer than expected though with Wrexham’s EFL Trophy clash against Port Vale postponed on Tuesday.
Wrexham players now have a chance to recharge and prepare for some huge games against Shrewsbury, Birmingham City and more.
If there is one thing Parkinson will hope to solve when Wrexham return, it’s the away form.
Wrexham rank top of the League One table in terms of home form and it isn’t even close, claiming 38 points 14 games, 11 more than any other side in League One.
The away form is a different story with Wrexham ranking 14th, claiming just 13 points from 11 away games.
That is a concern but pundit and former Welsh international Iwan Roberts has pointed out something ‘scary’.
Speaking on ‘Feast of Football’, Roberts highlighted that Wrexham have scored just nine goals in those 11 away games.
Roberts feels that the lack of goals on the road is ‘worrying’ and could be the real problem in any potential promotion push.
“I was asked the question, do I think Wrexham can get promoted and I think they’ve got as good of a chance as any with the squad that they have, it’s just their away form that has to change,” said Roberts.
“We know about their home form, they’ve got the best home form in League One but their away form is really their Achilles heel at the minute.
“It shouldn’t make as much of a difference as it is, because I think they’ve only won 13 points away from home, but the scary thing is that they’ve only scored nine goals away from home in 11 games. That’s the worrying thing,” he added.
Wrexham’s next five away games
A strong home record can certainly be the backbone for a promotion-winning season but Wrexham need more points on the road.
Next week’s clash with Shrewsbury Town would certainly be a perfect time to find some brilliance on the road.
Wrexham won away at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup last year and would no doubt love to repeat the trick next week.
Crawley Town are Wrexham’s next away game after Shrewsbury, with that trip coming on February 1.
Wrexham face an away double header later in February, travelling to take on Northampton Town and Mansfield Town.
March brings up an incredibly tough trip as Wrexham head to take on Huddersfield Town.
The Terriers are emerging as a genuine competitor for automatic promotion and that trip could be a real six-pointer for Wrexham.
Wrexham need goals and points from those away games and Parkinson will hope to see much better after that defeat to Barnsley on New Year’s Day.
