Wrexham midfielder Lewis O’Brien was involved in a controversial decision during Wrexham vs Derby County over the weekend.
Wrexham drew 1-1 with Derby County at the Racecourse Ground, meaning they are now unbeaten in their last three.
The Red Dragons were much improved defensively but were unable to keep a clean sheet.
Lewis O’Brien scored Wrexham’s only goal of the match, heading in a brilliant ball from on-loan wing-back Issa Kabore.
However, whether or not the midfielder should have even been on the pitch to score his goal is up for debate.

Mark Clattenburg on Lewis O’Brien red card call
During the first half, O’Brien committed a foul on Derby’s Ebou Adams.
Adams was down receiving treatment for some time after the tackle, for which the Wrexham player was shown a yellow card.
One Sky Sports pundit branded O’Brien’s challenge ‘disgusting’ during coverage of the match.
Now, The Wrexham Insider has spoken exclusively to former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg for his thoughts on the decision to show a yellow card.
He said: “Tom Neid has made a poor judgment on not sending Wrexham’s Lewis O’Brien off for the challenge on Derby’s Ebou Adams.
“The challenge had speed and intensity, was an over the top challenge, and was very surprised that a red card was not issued.”

Phil Parkinson praises Lewis O’Brien performance
O’Brien was seemingly lucky to stay on the pitch, but he went on to play a key role in the game.
Parkinson praised the Wrexham midfielder post-match, highlighting his link-up play with Kabore for their goal.
He said: “He’s a superb player [O’Brien], isn’t he? All round, with and without the ball. The goal is a high-quality goal, it really is. It was a brilliant bit of combination play, and another one for him, that’s three for the season.”
