Wrexham and Derby County squared off in the Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Racecourse, with both clubs desperate to improve upon their starts to the campaign.
The Red Dragons went into the match looking for their first home victory of the campaign in the second tier, and to do so, Wrexham had to earn their first win in 45 years over Derby.
There was a lack of real quality in the first half between the two sides, with little to no chances being created, with Derby failing to register a shot on target.
However, the Rams will feel that Phil Parkinson’s side got extremely lucky in the opening minutes with one refereeing decision.

Clinton Morrison believes Lewis O’Brien should have been sent off
In the opening few minutes of the game, Lewis O’Brien challenged Ebou Adams for the ball, with the Wrexham star being late and raking his studs down the ankle of the Derby midfielder.
The referee quickly stepped in as the Rams players protested angrily for the official to send off O’Brien for the challenge; however, he opted to give the Red Dragons’ summer signing a yellow card.
Derby will only be frustrated further that it was Lewis O’Brien who gave Wrexham the lead in the 58th minute of the game, with the Rams believing he should not be on the pitch.
This decision left Clinton Morrison incensed in the Sky Sports studio, as he said: “100% it is a sending off. Lewis O’Brien, look at this tackle on Adams.
“It is a disgusting tackle; the referee is right there.
“For me that should be a red card.”
Mike Dean agreed with Morrison’s view on Lewis O’Brien’s challenge
Former referee and pundit Mike Dean joined Morrison in the Sky Studio, and he was in complete agreement with the former Republic of Ireland international.
He was quick to add: “I watched it first time, and I cringed when I had seen it.

“When you watch it, it is an awful, awful challenge. It is above his ankle; he has gone in with his studs. The referee is right on top of it, probably too close to the referee, but that has got to be picked up as a red card.
“It is a horrible challenge.”
