Wrexham claimed an impressive point on the road away at Leicester City on Tuesday night. But it wasn’t such an eventful night for Ben Sheaf.
Phil Parkinson’s side put another point on the board with Wrexham drawing 1-1 with Leicester City on Tuesday night.
The Foxes took the lead through Wrexham summer transfer target Jordan James in the first half, before club record signing Nathan Broadhead scored a second half equaliser.
It’s a point that moves the Dragons up into 15th place of the Championship table ahead of their crunch match with Birmingham City on Friday night.

Ben Sheaf goes missing as Wrexham draw away at Leicester City
Wrexham signed three new players on deadline day alone, taking their summer signings tally to 13, with £3million spent, with £6.5million spent on Ben Sheaf.
The former Arsenal midfielder left Coventry City to move to the Racecourse and he’s since made four appearances for the club, though he’s yet to really do anything of much note.
Sheaf played well against Derby County but went completely missing against a much tougher opponent in Leicester City, coming off on the hour mark after barely even touching the ball.
Many Wrexham fans might feel angry towards Arthur Okonkwo who arguably should’ve saved the shot that James scored. But Sheaf’s anonymous performance is just as concerning.

Does Ben Sheaf suit Wrexham’s style of play?
It’s still early doors for Sheaf at Wrexham, and given how good he is at Championship level and how much the club paid for him, expect him to get every chance to succeed, and to eventually do so.
But under Parkinson, Sheaf might struggle. Parkinson has really pushed his focus towards the wing-backs, specifically with Issa Kabore who’s already claimed three assists in four games for the club.
Then if the ball isn’t going out wide, it’s going direct up to Kieffer Moore, and against Leicester City in particular, it really just cut out Sheaf from the game.
Sheaf flourishes in a more passing style team like under Mark Robins or Frank Lampard at Coventry City. This current Wrexham style might not suit him all that much.
Parkinson may have to finetune his ways to get the best out of Sheaf who would in turn get the best out of Wrexham.
The Dragons’ game against Birmingham City kicks off at 8pm on Friday night.
