Wrexham grabbed all three points on Saturday afternoon with Paul Mullin the goalscoring hero at Rotherham United.
The return of League One action from the international break brought a trip to Yorkshire for Phil Parkinson and co.
Rotherham United were the opponents and Millers boss Steve Evans may have been expecting a basketball match to break out.
Evans has repeatedly called Wrexham the ‘Harlem Globetrotters’ of League One, comments which only served to amuse Saturday’s match-winner Paul Mullin.
Mullin opened the scoring inside the first 20 seconds, converting Ryan Barnett’s cross to hand Wrexham all three points.
Mullin was called upon after Jack Marriott’s injury and certainly took his chance to shine in the Wrexham attack.

Phil Parkinson on Paul Mullin
This has been a slow start to the season by Mullin’s usual standards, but it has been completely understandable.
Mullin underwent surgery over the summer and missed pre-season as a result.
A slow start to the season was always likely and Mullin has been forced to wait for his first league goal of the season.
Saturday’s winner was certainly worth the wait for Mullin and Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson has now offered him praise.
Speaking on Wrexham’s official YouTube channel, Parkinson noted that Mullin was given a break after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 in the EFL Trophy.
Mullin has recharged and returned looking sharp with Parkinson noting that Mullin has been ‘back to his best’ in training.
Parkinson added that he could ‘sense’ that Mullin was about to turn in a quality display in league action, praising the striker’s all-round performance alongside his goal.
“He’s come back after the international break, had a break after the Wolves game and he’s trained really well this week,” said Parkinson.
“He’s looked sharp and back to his best, you could sense it in training this week and he took it into the performance. It wasn’t just about the goal, his all-round performance for the team was really good,” he added.
Mullin on his training displays
Parkinson is clearly delighted to have his top striker back in the goals.
Mullin has been waiting for lift-off this season and that moment has finally arrived.
The striker has now stated on Wrexham’s official YouTube channel that he agrees with Parkinson’s verdict about his displays in training.
Mullin admitted that he started to feel like himself again in the past week with all aches and pains from his injury gone.
The striker admitted that he thought he could be at 100% a little quicker than he was, but he is just happy to be back now.
“I’ve never had surgery before but I was told it wasn’t easy and, me being me, naively thought ‘nah, I’ll do it quicker than I could’ and I got back really quick in terms of being able to train, but it’s never going to feel 100% for a long time.
“Strangely enough, this week was the time that I started to feel like myself again. We had a couple of days off last week and, for some reason, I came back and all the aches and pains had gone,” he added.
If this isn’t a warning to League One defender, we don’t know what is.
Mullin now feels back to his best and he marked that feeling with a goal on Saturday.
Wrexham need Mullin with Marriott now injured and League One defenders should beware as Wrexham’s goal machine starts to motor into gear.
