Wrexham beat Rotherham United 1-0 on Saturday afternoon but have still suffered a major blow with Jack Marriott facing a spell on the sidelines.
Wrexham were back on the road again on Saturday, travelling over to Yorkshire for a clash with Steve Evans and Rotherham United.
Phil Parkinson picked up just one point from trips to Leyton Orient and Stevenage before beating Northampton Town 4-1 at the STōK Cae Ras.
Wrexham have been flawless at home but were looking to get back to winning ways on the road – and it duly arrived on Saturday.
Paul Mullin scored the only goal of the game, converting Ryan Barnett’s cross inside the first 20 seconds of the game.
Wrexham stood strong to frustrate Rotherham and claim the clean sheet, handing Parkinson a second away league win of the season.

Paul Mullin on Jack Marriott injury
Sadly, Wrexham have also been dealt some bad news this week.
Striker Jack Marriott was enjoying a superb start to the season and was praised by Darren Ferguson for his finishing ability earlier in the campaign.
Marriott was even keeping Paul Mullin out of the team but he has now suffered a cruel injury blow.
Parkinson has told The Leader that Marriott will be out for around four months with a broken leg.
That paved the way for Mullin to come into the starting XI and score the winning goal.
Mullin has now sent a message to Marriott whilst speaking on Wrexham’s official YouTube channel.
Mullin praised Marriott has ‘fantastic’ and praised him for stepping up over the summer and in the first weeks of this season.
The Wrexham striker added that Marriott’s injury is ‘heartbreaking’ and ‘horrible’ for Wrexham to deal with but backed Parkinson to utilise his squad.
Mullin believes that Marriott will be ‘back even better’ when he has recovered having been ‘phenomenal’ so far this season.
“Jack’s been fantastic, it’s so unlucky,” said Mullin.
“Last year, obviously he came in at a difficult part of the season in January and we were doing well, he waited for his opportunity and in the summer, when I was out, he came into the team to start the season and he’s been absolutely fantastic for us.
“I was so pleased for him after the end of last season, he got his first goal in the last game of the season and then he’s carried on the form into this season, which was phenomenal for us.
“It’s heartbreaking at times; it was an innocuous thing in training which you couldn’t help, it was just one of those things, it’s part of football, Jack knows that but it is horrible for us because you see someone wait so long and start doing so well and be a real catalyst for us this season, it’s tough to take but that’s why the gaffer built a squad and there’s always competition for places.
“Unfortunately, Jack is going to be out for a long time, we are going to miss him and it’s going to be a really tough period for us but he’s done brilliant up to now, I’m sure he’ll be back even better,” he added.
Mullin goal came at the perfect time
Wrexham have been waiting for Mullin to really kick into life this season.
Mullin underwent surgery over the summer and missed pre-season, so a slow start to the league campaign was more than understandable.
Mullin is now off the mark in League One action and that is just perfect timing for Wrexham.
Marriott’s injury means Wrexham need another goalscorer to step up and support Ollie Palmer in attack.
Mullin is the perfect man for that role and his partnership with Palmer has been exceptional for years now.
Steven Fletcher and Modou Faal will be in contention too but Mullin is the man Wrexham will now rely on for goals in the final third.
