Wrexham racked up a third win in a row on Tuesday night and brought up an incredible milestone under Phil Parkinson in the process.

Wrexham went into Tuesday’s game against Barnsley having won two home games in the space of a few days just a week earlier.

Exeter City and Lincoln City were beaten at home before Wrexham had a weekend break having already been knocked out of the FA Cup.

It’s rare that you get three home games in a row but that was the situation as Barnsley arrived to face Wrexham on Tuesday night.

Wrexham toiled away searching for a winner before Ollie Rathbone popped up with an injury-time goal, handing Phil Parkinson a 1-0 win.

Rob McElhenney and Danny DeVito celebrated together in Los Angeles as Rathbone’s goal handed Wrexham yet another home win – and another clean sheet too.

Phil Parkinson brings up incredible milestone at Wrexham

Tuesday’s win also brought up a quite remarkable milestone for boss Parkinson.

That was Wrexham’s 78th home league game under Parkinson since his appointment back in the summer of 2021.

Beating Barnsley handed Parkinson three more points and took his tally to 200 points in just 78 home league games.

That is an average of 2.56 points per game at home, proving that Parkinson has made the STōK Cae Ras an absolute fortress for Wrexham.

Wrexham have now played 10 games at home this season and won nine, dropping just two points along the way.

The home draw with Huddersfield Town in October was Wrexham’s only blemish on an otherwise perfect home record.

21 goals scored, four goals conceded – Wrexham have become an absolute juggernaut at home and Parkinson’s record is simply incredible.

Wrexham even ahead of Liverpool

Wrexham’s latest home win now puts Wrexham ahead of Liverpool for home wins in 2024.

Playmaker Stats on X have published stats showing Wrexham top of the table in the top four English leagues for home wins in 2024.

That was Wrexham’s 19th home league win in 2024, now edging just one ahead of Liverpool and League One rivals Reading.

Wycombe Wanderers sit fourth on 17 whilst Manchester City, Leeds United, Peterborough United and Walsall have racked up 16.

Nobody in League One will want a trip to Wrexham any time soon and Parkinson will be looking to add more wins and points to this sensational home record.

Ryan Reynolds wants another promotion this season and if Wrexham continue this home record, Parkinson will be right in the mix at the top.
