Wrexham hit back with a big victory on Saturday afternoon, beating Exeter City 3-0 in a thumping win at the STōK Cae Ras.
Phil Parkinson endured a difficult afternoon last Saturday, falling to a 1-0 defeat at Stockport County.
Wrexham had to hit back at home with Exeter City the visitors as Grecians captain Pierce Sweeney played down the trip to Wrexham.
Wrexham were superb and took an early lead with Max Cleworth heading home the opener.
Ollie Palmer made it 2-0 from Ryan Barnett’s cross before Ollie Rathbone grabbed his first league goal for Wrexham.
Rathbone’s goal earned praise from Angel Gomes with Wrexham able to celebrate a positive afternoon once again.

Phil Parkinson on Ollie Palmer
If anybody needed a goal in Wrexham’s win, it was probably striker Ollie Palmer.
Palmer’s last goal for Wrexham came way back on September 7, finding the net in a 3-0 home victory.
That was a 10-game run without a goal in League One and Wrexham really needed him to step up on Saturday.
Palmer duly obliged, meeting Barnett’s cross with a perfect header to end his goal drought.
Phil Parkinson spoke on Wrexham Match Day Live after the game and praised Palmer for his hard work and his crucial goal.
Parkinson did though note that Palmer had a ‘mad five minutes’ in the second half as he simply ‘kept giving the ball away’.
“I’m pleased for Ollie Palmer,” said Parkinson.
“Ollie has worked so hard in recent weeks but he needed a goal. I’m pleased for him, apart from that mad five minutes he had in the second half when he kept giving the ball away but he was good today.
“We’ll let him off and strikers need goals. Ollie has worked tirelessly but, equally, when the ball comes in the box, you’ve got to be in there where it matters most, but Ollie did well today,” he added.

Palmer was able to laugh about those comments, adding that he had a ‘really sticky’ spell where nothing went right for him.
The striker joked that he must have had his boots on the wrong feet at that point in the game, but still enjoyed the overall performance.
“I think not just myself but the rest of the lads really enjoyed how we played today,” said Palmer. “Apart from… I had a really sticky 10 minutes.
“I think I put my boots on the wrong feet for 10 minutes!” he added.
Palmer signed a new Wrexham contract in October and looks set to be a key part of the project moving forward.
Palmer may not be a regular goalscorer but his work rate and target man abilities will always be appreciated at the STōK Cae Ras.
