Wrexham have four monumental games standing between them and the summer, and potentially standing between them and Championship football.
Wrexham welcome Bristol Rovers to the Racecourse on Friday for what is a massive game for both sides.
Whilst Phil Parkinson‘s side, sitting in 2nd place of the table, are looking to get over the dotted line in League One, Inigo Calderon’s Bristol Rovers are looking to stay in the division, currently sitting in 21st and only in the drop zone on goal difference.
Last time out Wrexham drew 0-0 with Wigan Athletic in a game that frustrated many. In fact, Wrexham fans were heard booing the players after that result but it’s understandable given the intensity and the nerves right now, with the Dragons on the brink of making history.
Owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will no doubt have a close eye on Friday’s game and also on Wycombe Wanderers who play away at Bolton Wanderers.
On Monday, Wrexham head to Blackpool whilst Wycombe host Charlton Athletic.

Rich Fay backs Wrexham to beat Bristol Rovers
Speaking on the RobRyanRed podcast, journalist Rich Fay gave his verdict ahead of the game against Bristol Rovers. He highlighted the nerves going into this game and the need for fans to simply get behind the players and Parkinson, and to do their best to get them over the line this season.
Fay also highlighted how Wrexham have perhaps over-achieved this season and so to be in this position with four games to go is an incredible achievement in itself. He said: “We’ve got to just support them. We’ve got to get them over the line. They’ve done us so proud this season. They’ve exceeded expectation.
“They are on the brink of history: back-to-back-to-back, three in a row, we’ve got to believe that it can happen. I’ve got full faith that we’ll win on Friday. I really have.”
What happened the last time Wrexham played Bristol Rovers
Going into Friday’s game, Bristol Rovers have lost their last six games and manager Calderon may be expecting a seventh-straight defeat, after Calderon suggested his Bristol Rovers players aren’t good enough for League One.
But he’ll take some confidence from the fact that the Gas took a point off Wrexham earlier in the season. Back in December, Bristol Rovers drew 1-1 with Wrexham in a game where Elliot Lee handed the Dragons an early lead, only to concede in the 86th minute.
Wrexham would certainly like those two extra points right now but there’s no denying that Bristol Rovers are very poor right now, and at home, Wrexham should absolutely be winning this one.
Kick off is 3pm on Friday.
