Phil Parkinson was left blown away by the performance of one Wrexham player in Sunday’s match against Bolton Wanderers.
Wrexham extended their unbeaten start in the league with a goalless draw against Bolton at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo was lauded by Sky Sports pundit Sam Parkin for his excellent performance, as the 22-year-old made several fantastic saves, with the hosts failing to score from eight shots on target.
Okonkwo may have stolen most of the plaudits in that solid result however, Phil Parkinson dropped further praise for the role one of his new signings played in securing a point.
Phil Parkinson was blown away by Seb Revan vs Bolton Wanderers
After impressing as a left wing-back in the Carabao Cup defeat against Sheffield United, with the 21-year-old scoring his first Wrexham goal, Parkinson rewarded Sebastian Revan with a start at right wing-back.
Previously lauded for his ‘great versatility’ by the veteran manager, the youngster showed his capabilities down the right for Wrexham, who were forced to defend for large parts of the game.

Revan won four ground duels, completed three successful dribbles and made three clearances across ninety minutes as the decision to start him over Ryan Barnett and Luke Bolton proved to be a masterstroke.
Explaining why he played the new signing as a right wing-back, as per The Leader, Parkinson wanted to shut down the threat of Szabolcs Schön and he did a ‘terrific’ job.
The Wrexham boss felt he was ‘tenacious’ with his defending but also ‘dangerous’ going forward, saying: “I just felt against their new lad (Hungarian wing-back Szabolcs Schön) that Seb could do a great job on him and wow, did he stick to his task. He was terrific.
“He has played as much on the right as he has the left. We knew that when we brought him in.
“He played a lot on the right last year for Rotherham so no qualms about playing him there and he is so tenacious in his defending but also going forward, he is dangerous as we have seen in pre-season and at Sheffield United with his goal.”
Seb Revan looks undroppable at the moment
Parkinson was, of course, left blown away by Revan’s performance on Sunday and this is potentially bad news for Bolton and Barnett, who could find it difficult to wrestle back a starting spot at right wing-back.
Revan’s versatility – playing both on the right and left – earned him a chance from the off and he grasped it with open arms.
Now, for the young defender to keep his place ahead of two talented players, it’s about him displaying a high-level of consistency with his performances.
If he does that and continues to look solid in defence and dangerous going forward, he will make himself undroppable.
