Wrexham have the chance to move to the top of League One when they face local rivals Shrewsbury Town.
Wrexham handed a start to recent goalscoring hero Steven Fletcher and Elliot Lee returned from a spell on the sideline in Wrexham’s starting line up against Shrewsbury Town.
Following Paul Mullin’s recent struggles, he began the game on the bench and there was no place for fellow striker Ollie Palmer in the squad.
Fans were however, excited to see one returning star back in Phil Parkinson’s squad ahead of the huge local derby against Shrewsbury Town.

Wrexham fans are delighted to see Jack Marriott return from injury
Jack Marriott returned to the Wrexham matchday squad following a broken fibula that caused him to miss the last 19 matches.
Parkinson had been pleased with Marriott in training and has rewarded the forward with a chance to return to the bench against Shrewsbury. This has delighted a number of Wrexham fans.
One fan wrote: “Great to see Marriott back in that matchday squad!” As excitement built at the prospect of the Red Dragons sitting top of League One.
Another fan wrote: “Don’t know how to feel with Fletcher and Lee up top. I’ll believe in Parky. Marriott back on the bench though is fantastic to see.”
A fellow Wrexham supporter also reacted by stating: “Goals will be back in the side with Marriott back, hope it doesn’t take him long to get back up to speed.”
Marriott hoping to continue impressive start to League One season
Marriott had an impressive start to the League One campaign having scored five goals in his initial ten appearances.
Marriott is a proven performer at League One level, having already scored goals at previous clubs Fleetwood Town and Peterborough United.
