Wrexham travelled to Exeter City on Saturday afternoon, looking to keep their place in the automatic promotion spots.
Wrexham have picked up some huge results in recent weeks, most notably seeing off Wycombe Wanderers to knock them down to third.
Wycombe have some tough fixtures to end out of the season, while Phil Parkinson and co. must only play one of the top-six in their remaining games.
Wrexham’s latest outing saw them clash with a mid-table Exeter City in a 3pm kick-off on March 29th.
Despite the big gap between the two sides in the table, Exeter were expected to put up a real fight.
They were unbeaten in six prior to facing the Red Dragons, who, historically, don’t score a lot on the road.
When the final whistle blew at St James Park, Wrexham came away with a win.

Wrexham fans left stunned by Jay Rodriguez vs Exeter City
Wrexham took the lead in the first half when Ollie Rathbone saw his deflected effort sail past the Exeter keeper.
The away outfit continued to pile the pressure on before, somewhat surprisingly, actually scoring a second goal in the same game.
Jay Rodriguez was fouled in the box before he stepped up to convert his second penalty in the space of a week.
The striker, who had gone 10 games without a goal up until the Stockport meeting, now has two in two and Wrexham fans just can’t belive it.
One fan wrote: “Two weeks in a row! Who is this guy!”
A second added: “Only way he can justify he’s enormous wages, go on Rodriguez.”
Another Wrexham supporter simply exclaimed: “2 for 2 Jay!”
“COME ON! Right down the middle for Rodriguez. Better ball than last week,” a fourth fan stated.
A fifth Red Dragons fan added: “2 in 2 for JRod, who would have thought.”
While a sixth wrote: “Smith has confidence, if Rodriguez gets his now it will bring the offense up to match our defense.”
Wrexham still need more from Jay Rodriguez
While it’s good to see Rodriguez scoring two goals in two games, they did both come from penalties.
From open play, meanwhile, he’s still not providing much of a goal threat but that will have to change in the coming weeks.
Wrexham continue to leave out Paul Mullin, meaning Rodriguez will, along with Sam Smith, likely lead the line for the rest of 2024/25.
In turn, to ensure they win the remainder of their matches and secure promotion ahead of Wycombe, the former Burnley man will have to step up his contributions even more, not just from 12 yards.
Wrexham fans have criticised Rodriguez for his lack of goals over the last two months, but now that he’s got a couple under his belt, he’ll hopefully begin to find the back of the net more frequently from open play.
