Lewis Brunt- 8

Defended with his usual aggression and tenacity, showed wonderful composure on the ball when playing out from the back and strode forward at every opportunity.

Thundered into tackles and provided Wrexham their usual outlet on the left flank with incredible work rate and endeavour.

Matty James- 9

Bossed the midfield by using his experience and composure, a wonderful pass for Smith’s goal over the top of a static defence. Imperious performance.

Fired up against his former side, Dobson continued his excellent recent form with a performance of high-energy but quality on the ball.

Ollie Rathbone- 9

A thumping strike to set Wrexham on their way and lead by example with his work rate in midfield but also his intelligence on the ball.

Jay Rodriguez- 7

Worked hard for the cause and was noticeably higher up the pitch and closer to Smith in order to help out his strike partner with the press and holding the ball up.

Sam Smith- 9

Should have scored just before Rathbone’s opener as he raced through on goal but soon found his goal with an excellent finish over his shoulder. Got across his man for the third goal to seal the win.
