Wrexham fans cannot hide their excitement at the prospect of gaining promotion and have taken to X to voice their reactions.
One fan stated: “You beauties!” in relation to Leyton Orient, whilst another wrote: “Yes yes yes, come on Wrexham, this is our moment.”
Another fan wrote: “Just one win is all we need.” As one Wrexham fan paid tribute to Phil Parkinson before the match even begun, they wrote: “Phil Parkinson. Any better men?”
One fan even described the potential promotion as one of sports greatest stories, they wrote: “What Wrexham AFC may do today (or next week) may be the single greatest story in sports over the past decade.”
What Wrexham need to do for League One promotion
The scenario for Parkinson’s side is now simple, they need one win from their final two games to secure promotion from League One automatically.
Nathan Jones called Wrexham a ‘circus’ in the build up to the game and the players and fans would love nothing more than to secure promotion on their own turf.

Should the result not go the way the Red Dragons want against Charlton, then they travel to Lincoln City on the final day of the season.
