Wrexham continue their 2024 pre-season campaign this weekend with a meeting versus Fleetwood Town.

The Welsh outfit are set to play out their final 2024 pre-season fixture on Saturday, August 3rd.

Phil Parkinson should be happy with his side’s performance levels in pre-season so far and will be keen to end their 2024/25 preparation with a win.

Wrexham face Fleetwood Town at the Racecourse Ground in a 3pm BST kick-off this Saturday.

The Red Dragons began their pre-season by picking up a comfortable 5-1 win over Hanley Town.

The Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds-owned club then travelled to the West Coast of America for a number of fixtures against tougher opposition.

Wrexham drew 1-1 with AFC Bournemouth to kick off the US-based portion of their pre-season.

Then, in a result that will no doubt majorly boost the club’s confidence going into 2024/25, Wrexham drew 2-2 with Chelsea.

The League One outfit capped off their pre-season tour of America by smashing Vancouver Whitecaps 4-1.

Wrexham team news vs Fleetwood Town

Wrexham have a largely fit squad going into their final game of pre-season this weekend.

Elliot Lee returned in the meeting with Chelsea in Santa Clara after he had missed the previous game against Bournemouth due to a slight injury picked up against Hanley.

On a less positive note, striker Paul Mullin missed the club’s ‘Wrex Coast Tour’ as he had to undergo minor spinal surgery to correct a long-term lower-back/hamstring issue.

Mullin is expected to be sidelined once again for Wrexham’s meeting this weekend and is a doubt for their 2024/25 season opener.

Jacob Mendy was also unavailable for the Vancouver Whitecaps friendly last time out and he too is fighting to be fit for the start of the new campaign.

How will Wrexham line up vs Fleetwood Town

Wrexham begin their 2024/25 League One campaign in just over one week.

As a result, Parkinson will no doubt want to put as strong a squad as possible out for their meeting with Fleetwood.

The Wrexham boss has been playing James McClean out of position up front in some friendlies this summer but he is expected to revert back to his left-wing-back role ahead of the new season.

The Welsh side have had a busy summer transfer window and key additions like Arthur Okonkwo and George Dobson are expected to continue their integration into the first-team squad with starts against Fleetwood.

Here’s how we think Wrexham will line up against Fleetwood on Saturday…
