Preparations are well underway for the new season as Wrexham players begin to return to the Racecourse Ground for pre-season testing.
Phil Parkinson’s side are heading down under on their pre-season tour and Wrexham’s new acquisition Ryan Hardie will be part of the travelling squad.
Trips to Australia and North America are a far cry from National League obscurity before Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney transformed the club. The club’s meteoric rise has been highlighted in one recent Championship statistic.

Wrexham’s new Kop stand is set to get underway after the temporary stand was taken down over the summer.
Wrexham’s owners are hoping for a £10m windfall in ‘VIPs’ revenue from the new stand, which will help to sustain the club’s growth moving forward.
The increased capacity is needed at the Racecourse after it was revealed that Wrexham have gained the 5th most fans in the second tier during the last 10 years.
The Red Dragons are now attracting an extra 9517 fans compared to that of the 2014/15 season, where the club were struggling in non-league football.
It marks an incredible 291% increase and sees only the likes of Coventry, Bristol City, Birmingham and Ipswich Town attracting a bigger increase in supporters.

Reynolds hit back at the British media in recent comments after the owners were laughed at when they initially made their target of Premier League football clear.
Not only have Wrexham’s owners brought success on the pitch, they have galvanised the town around the football club and the rise in attendance only serves to prove this.
Reynolds stated: “It is a beautiful thing, and as you grow, you want to make sure that you’re growing, but you’re keeping the intimacy of the place, and I think that that’s been the one tenet that Rob and I have been we’ve been so guarded about.”
Who knows where the club may be after the next ten years, however, those attendance figures will have scope to improve after the duo are finished with their improved infrastructure plans.
