Wrexham have been on the rise ever since the club was taken over in 2021 and they have just secured one of their long term targets.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have wanted to build a new Kop Stand at the Racecourse Ground since taking over the club in a vision to improve the club.
There have been many failed attempts at getting the funding and planning permission for the new stand. McElhenney loves the idea of a temporary Kop stand for the 2024-25.
Wrexham posted a cryptic message to indicate plans on the Kop stand were close and the plans have now officially been unveiled as the future looks bright for the North Wales club.

Wrexham fans divided over plans for new Kop Stand at the Racecourse Ground
Wrexham fans have taken to X following the announcement of the official plans for the new Kop Stand. It seems that the fanbase are divided over the Wrexham owners vision of the stadium.
One Wrexham fan wrote: “The unusual design will grow on people. Conventional blends over time but something like this always looks unique and eye-catching. Much better than the previous box.”
Another fan was also positive about the new plans and wrote: “I love it. Every stadium these days looks like a Tesco Extra. This is unique, fantastic stuff!”
However, it was not all positive feedback from the Red Dragons fans, one fan wrote: “Way too massive. Loving the brick and the thinking behind it but it should be way more open and way more traditional. Thought Populous would knock it out the park just like they did with Buffalo but unfortunately not.”
Another fan wrote: “The other design was a lot better.” In relation to the other attempts that Shaun Harvey and Humphrey Ker have tried and failed with.

The design of the roof is set to amplify noise from the crowd towards the players on the pitch so that Phil Parkinson’s men will feel the full effect of the support at home matches.

The new players’ tunnel will be built into the new stand and will be fully compliant with UEFA Category 4 stadium requirements this will enable the STōK Cae Ras Stadium to host international matches in the future.
Wrexham chief executive officer Michael Williamson has stated: “The new Kop Stand marks a special moment in the history of the STōK Cae Ras, allowing us to restore the traditional four-sided enclosure of the stadium, providing new and improved facilities and experiences for our fans and visitors to the stadium alike.”
Exciting times on and off the pitch for the club and Parkinson will be hoping that the new stand will hosting Championship football come the unveiling.
