Phil Parkinson has reflected on the season so far and thinks his players have more than risen to the challenges of League Two.
After a somewhat sluggish start to the season, which included 5-3 defeat to MK Dons on the opening day, Wrexham have well and truly found their groove in League Two.
The Reds clinched promotion from the National League last season with a record points tally. However, it was also going to be difficult moving up a division, as Wrexham found out in the first few weeks of the season.
But after an unbeaten October, the club are now third in League Two, just five points of league leaders Stockport County and occupying one of the automatic promotion places.

Phil Parkinson: ‘League Two has been a good test’
The win at the weekend was massive for Phil Parkinson‘s side, beating former National League rivals Notts County 2-0 to go level on points with them.
The victory extended Wrexham’s unbeaten run to eight games in all competitions, as they now turn their attention to their FA Cup first round tie against Mansfield Town at Field Mill on Saturday.
Pausing to reflect on their league campaign, the Reds’ boss says he’s happy with how things are going so far.
“We have faced a lot of the teams that are right up there,” Parkinson said.
“It has been a good test for us, it is what we wanted.
“We are enjoying the league, it has been a testing early part of the season but we are really getting into a good stride now.”

Wrexham boss thinks moving up a division has brought the best out of his players
Parkinson also thinks that going up a level has brought out the best in his players, who are showing they more than belong at this level.
“So far it has been a really competitive, exciting league,” said the Reds’ boss.
“It is an obvious thing to say because we have gone up a level but the standards are better.
“That is what we worked so hard to be part of and we are enjoying that challenge.
“Everybody has got to keep upping their game and we are doing that.”
It’s been a hugely positive start to the season, as Wrexham compete in the fourth tier of English football for the first time in 15 years.
Let’s hope they can carry on this positive momentum for the rest of the season.
