An AI supercomputer has predicted where Wrexham will finish in League Two next season and it makes for positive reading.

Wrexham are back in the Football League for the first time in fifteen years after earning promotion from the National League.

The Red Dragons are on a huge upwards trajectory following a takeover of the club by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Now, the club which has gained worldwide popularity through a Disney+ documentary, are aiming for the stars, with a Premier League place potentially on the cards one day.

It remains to be seen how highly Wrexham climb up the football pyramid. However, an AI supercomputer is predicting the club will secure its second promotion in as many years next season.

The supercomputer has predicted the outcome of the 2022/23 League Two table by formulating a range of informative outright odds markets. The good news for Wrexham fans is that it’s anticipating the club to win League Two and be promoted to League One, the third tier of English football.

Stockport County are being tipped to come second and Notts County, who earned promotion via the play-offs last season, are forecasted to end up third – the final automatic promotion spot.

Elsewhere, Bradford City, Gillingham, Mansfield Town and MK Dons are expected to finish in the top seven. Morecambe and Harrogate Town are going to finish in the bottom two, according to the supercomputer.

Reynolds on Premier League ambitions

While it may seem like a pipe dream right now, co-owner Ryan Reynolds has his eyes set on the ultimate goal: the Premier League.

Reynolds said earlier in the year in an interview with ESPN: “We want to walk the walk, even as a fifth-tier club. We say this all the time, but we want to be in the Premier League, as crazy as that sounds to some people.

“If it is theoretically possible to go from the fifth tier in professional football all the way to the Premier League, why wouldn’t we do that?”

Wrexham’s fixtures list announced

This comes after the full list of fixtures for Wrexham during the 2023/24 season was recently announced. Wrexham will kick off their League Two campaign on Saturday, August 5, at home to MK Dons.
