Wrexham will not have a Championship fixture until October 18, when they face Stoke City, looking to build on their four-game unbeaten run in the league.
This form for the Red Dragons came about due to Phil Parkinson’s tactical alteration with Wrexham, as he moved to a back three, which has given them more protection.
One player that has thrived in this system is new Wrexham signing Dominic Hyam, who has been a standout for the Welsh club in recent weeks.
However, while it may look like Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac’s club have got better in defence, several stats will make fans worry, as it appears they have not solved their issues under their manager.
Wrexham have faced more clear-cut chances than any other Championship side
The Red Dragons have among the worst defensive stats in the Championship, according to Opta, as they have faced the second-greatest number of shots in the opening nine fixtures, with only Sheffield Wednesday facing more, 144 to 156, respectively.
Wrexham will be more worried that they have faced more clear-cut chances than the Owls, as their xG per shot is 0.13, while the Yorkshire side is 0.12.

There have been signs since the change of tactics of the team being more solid at the back, with there being the belief that most of these chances being given up will have been prior to the alteration.
However, they have still failed to keep a clean sheet across this unbeaten run, with the only time they managed to shut out a team in the Championship being against Millwall.

Consistency will help the Wrexham defensive problems
Phil Parkinson has seemed to find a formula that is working for Wrexham after their defeat to QPR, implementing it for the Norwich City fixture, beating them 3-2.
As time progresses and players are able to get used to each other in the side with training and on the pitch during matches, they will be able to master the system and learn how to shut out other teams.
There were signs of this in the first half of their match with Birmingham City, as they completely dominated proceedings in the opening 45 minutes of the game.
There will be no panic from Parkinson or the squad, particularly as they have scored in every Championship game, which gives them a chance of securing results. This will only happen if this dries up and goals continue to be leaked in their own net.
