Wrexham will be delighted to finally end their search for an experienced defender to join their Championship adventure.
Wrexham confirmed the signing of Conor Coady from Leicester City in a deal believed to be worth around £2m.
The former Wolves and England defender could make his debut in the pre-season clash against Groningen and Wrexham fans are delighted with the signing of Coady.
Phil Parkinson is known for only signing the right characters on and off the pitch for his team and will love the reasoning behind Coady’s move to the Racecourse Ground.

Conor Coady reveals the ‘people’ at Wrexham were the reason he signed for the club
Speaking during his first interview for the club upon signing, Coady was asked about his reasoning behind joining Wrexham.
The 32-year-old has played nearly 200 games in the Premier League and won 10 caps for his country, but he was drawn in by the ‘good’ people at the club.
Coady stated: “I think first and foremost the people, the people who I spoke to about the club, the people within the club really attracted me to the football club and I love playing with good people and I love being around good people,
“Secondly, I’ve seen what the football club has done over the past few years and I’m super impressed by it, I’ve seen everything about it, I’ve watched things, I’ve seen the documentary, I’ve seen everything about it,
“I’ve always thought to myself what a club and what a feeling it has kind of portrayed over the last few years and it has been brilliant.”
Wrexham will be impressed by Conor Coady
With Coady claiming to be ‘impressed’ by Wrexham, there is no doubt that the feeling will be mutual with the 32-year-old already making a huge impression.
His leadership qualities will be vital to Parkinson’s side on the pitch this season but his experience at being a captain can also provide something different off the pitch.
James McClean will continue to be the club captain, but Coady has shown that he has outstanding communication skills and can offer a different voice when needed this season.

Coady is an intelligent footballer and loves the tactical side of the game as well as having the drive and determination to win at all costs.
At £2m, this may well be the signing of the summer so far from a Wrexham point of view and who knows, maybe in the division as a whole.
