Wrexham continue to go from strength to strength under Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds with big plans for the future too.
Wrexham now sit third in the League One table having enjoyed a superb rise in recent years.
Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ £2million takeover in 2021 has put Wrexham on a remarkable path.
Back-to-back promotions have catapulted Wrexham from the National League to League One.
Results on the pitch have been backed up by success off it with the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series proven to be a huge hit.
Wrexham have earned admirers from all over the world and this rise could yet see Wrexham end up in the Premier League.

Former Manchester United coach on Cristiano Ronaldo to Wrexham
Reynolds wants another promotion this season and boss Phil Parkinson is dreaming of Premier League action.
There will be so many players out there who fancy becoming part of the Wrexham journey.
Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulenteen has now commented on the prospect of Wrexham signing one of the biggest names in the game.
Meulensteen has been asked by Flashscore whether he could see Cristiano Ronaldo turning out at the STōK Cae Ras before he hangs up his boots.
Meulensteen worked with Ronaldo at Manchester United and he suggested that a move to Wrexham one day can’t be ruled out.
The Dutchman noted that Ronaldo is now building a bigger social media presence and that could tie in well with the Wrexham project.
Meulensteen added that Ronaldo may even want to go into acting and connections with McElhenney and Reynolds could be appealing to him for his post-playing career.
“Cristiano Ronaldo to Wrexham? Anything can happen in football,” said Meulensteen.
“The main things he would consider are could he be successful in that environment and could he be a success there? It’s an intriguing idea and with his new profile on social media it might help that stretch into Hollywood with the Ryan Reynolds connection.
“Who knows, he might end up being the next James Bond. If he wants to go down the film and celebrity route then in terms of Wrexham I say go for it,” he added.
Forget about Ronaldo to Wrexham
We can understand some level of conversation around Ronaldo to Wrexham but let’s be real – it’s probably never going to happen.
Wrexham are still some way off the Premier League and Ronaldo turns 40 in February.
If Wrexham make it to the Premier League, Ronaldo’s playing career may well be over by the time that dream becomes a reality.
Wrexham have made it this far by building a strong, committed and almost understated team under Parkinson.
There are no prima donnas in this Wrexham squad; nobody is viewed as being bigger than the club or above the team structure Parkinson has worked so hard to create.
Even if Wrexham do reach the Premier League, Ronaldo will be commanding staggering money based on the cash he is now earning in Saudi Arabia.
As for the acting angle, Ronaldo is a big enough global star to earn opportunities in other fields without needing McElhenney or Reynolds to help him.
The mere idea of signing Cristiano just goes against everything this Wrexham project has represented so far and we just can’t imagine a world where this move happens.
