Paul Mullin endured a difficult 2024/25 season, in part due to his injury issues.
Paul Mullin missed the start of Wrexham’s League One campaign, seeing Jack Marriott and Ollie Palmer lead the line ahead of him.
The centre-forward returned to action after several weeks and scored a 16-second goal versus Rotherham United to get up and running for the season.
However, injury issues plagued Mullin throughout 2024/25, as he explained during the Welcome to Wrexham documentary.
The 30-year-old was still in pain for months after his comeback, and this impacted his form.
He is now on loan at Wigan Athletic, and there was fresh concern about his fitness this week.

Paul Mullin injury update
Mullin was injured for Wigan against Cardiff City this past weekend.
The Englishman shared an update earlier this week, suggesting he was unsure how bad the problem was.
However, Latics manager Ryan Lowe has now provided an update on the striker and it’s good news.
Mullin has had an ‘excellent’ recovery and should be in contention this week.
Lowe said, as per Wigan Today: “Mull had an excellent recovery day.
“He had a sore ankle, but he is a scouser, isn’t he? He’ll want to get through it and play. He will be with us still.”

Who do Paul Mullin and Wigan play next
Wigan have had a difficult start to the 2025/26 season and sit 14th going into the latest round of games.
They are next in action against Ryan Hardie and Dan Scarr’s former team, Plymouth Argyle.
Wigan face Plymouth at 3pm UK time on Saturday, October 4, and Mullin could feature.
The Wrexham loanee has rediscovered his top form since leaving the Racecourse Ground and already has three League One goals to his name this term.
