Wrexham grabbed a much-needed win last time out, beating Norwich City 3-2 in the Championship with Josh Windass starring.
The pressure was on Phil Parkinson going into Wrexham’s game against Norwich City. After defeat against QPR there were reports that Wrexham were considering sacking Parkinson, but the Dragons hero has eased that pressure for the time being.
Josh Windass scored twice as Wrexham beat Norwich City 3-2 at Carrow Road, with Ryan Longman grabbing the other goal.
Windass returned to the XI after missing several weeks with a hamstring injury and takes his Wrexham tally to three goals in three games, after scoring in Wrexham’s 2-1 defeat against Southampton on the opening day of the season.

Josh Windass is Wrexham’s best bit of business this summer, says expert
In the end, Wrexham spent more than £33million on new players, rising to nearly £40million when we include add-ons. But Wrexham signed Windass on a free transfer after he left Sheffield Wednesday and it’s proving to be a very good bit of business for the Welsh club.
Speaking on Not The Top 20, journalist and EFL expert Ali Maxwell was talking about Wrexham’s win at Norwich City and how Windass stole the show. Maxwell believes that signing Windass on a free transfer was one of Wrexham’s best moves of the summer transfer window.
He said: “[Windass] came back here and looked excellent again. Of all of Wrexham’s most eye-catching signings and transfer fees paid, probably the best business in the short-term arguably was getting Windass on a free.”

Wrexham have one thing going for them, but one major area of improvement
Windass returning to action and returning with a bang is great news for Parkinson. He desperately needs his players to keep on scoring this season, simply because the club keep on conceding goals.
Already after six games, Wrexham are among the league’s top three scorers this season with 11 goals to their name, with Windass on three and fellow summer signing Kieffer Moore on four.
But the Dragons also have the joint-second worst defensive record in the league with 12 goals conceded in six games, or an average of two goals every game, with only bottom club Sheffield United blasting a worse defensive record.
So for Wrexham, they have an amazing attacking record so far. But their defensive record is preventing them from really propelling up the table for the time being.
