Wrexham saw Stuart Webber leave the club in 2009 before embarking on a prominent career in the Premier League.
Both Stuart Webber and Steve Cooper have carved out fine careers for themselves after cutting their teeth at Wrexham long before Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds completed their takeover.
Cooper started his career as a player at Wrexham but became head of youth development before joining Liverpool at the age of just 28 in 2008.
Cooper has gone on to coach in the Premier League with Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, and recently became manager of Danish side Brondby.
Webber worked with Cooper in the Wrexham youth ranks and then followed him to Liverpool, before taking his career in a very different direction.

Ex-Wrexham man Stuart Webber makes shock Japanese move
Webber started as a youth coach alongside Cooper, but progressed to become director of recruitment at Liverpool.
The 41-year-old then enjoyed spells as head of scouting at Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers, before really catching the eye at Huddersfield Town.
Webber was the key behind hiring David Wagner and recruited a number of players who helped the Terriers win an unlikely promotion to the Premier League.
Webber left for Norwich City in 2017 and helped the Canaries secure two Premier League promotions before leaving his post in 2023.
The former Wrexham man has now secured a surprise move, becoming the new Head of Sports at Japanese second-tier club RB Omiya Ardija.
Red Bull purchased the club in 2024 and have overseen a complete rebrand, just as they did with RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Salzburg and others.
RB Omiya Ardija won promotion to the second tier within three months of the takeover, and are now looking to become a major force in Japanese football.
Webber has enjoyed Wrexham’s rise under Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds, and will now look to emulate the promotion success with RB Omiya Ardija.
Stuart Webber joins forces with Jurgen Klopp
The move to Japan means that Webber will now be answering to Jurgen Klopp.
Klopp became Red Bull’s Head of Global Football earlier in 2025, meaning he oversees all clubs in the Red Bull group.
That includes Omiya Ardija, meaning Webber has gone from starting out coaching Wrexham’s youngsters to working alongside one of the game’s finest managers.
Perhaps the aforementioned Wagner was a key link here; he was the best man at Klopp’s wedding and worked with Webber at both Huddersfield and Norwich.
Webber will now look to make a success of Red Bull’s latest venture, and he couldn’t have possibly imagined his career would end up here when he started out at Wrexham.
