Wrexham have announced their final EFL squad for the remainder of the 2024-25 season as they look to secure promotion from League One.
Wrexham were required to name up to 22 outfield players over the age of 21 in order to be in line with EFL regulations.
Phil Parkinson announced his list with 21 names to give the club one remaining space that would depend on some injury situations.
Free agents can still be signed by the Red Dragons and added to the squad, meaning Wrexham could still sign Jamie Paterson if they felt the need to add even more firepower to the squad. The 21 man list has meant that one big name has missed out however.

Luke Bolton is not named in Wrexham’s final EFL squad
Luke Bolton is currently out injured and alongside Will Boyle have not been named in Wrexham’s squad submission to the EFL.
The remaining space does mean that it is not the end of Bolton’s season however, a lot will depend on how quickly the 25-year-old recovers from his calf injury.
The former deadline day signing from Salford has made just three appearances at the Racecourse Ground this season with two of those coming in the EFL Trophy.
He is yet to make an appearance in League One and the latest squad suggests that he is not at the forefront of Parkinson’s plans.
Bolton would struggle to get in to Wrexham’s solid defence
Bolton is primarily a right back and whilst he could do a job at both right wing-back and right centre-back, he is not really suited to the way that Parkinson likes to set his team up.
Lewis Brunt excelled on his comeback against Crawley and the consistency of Max Cleworth has been a key factor in Wrexham’s recent success.

Ryan Barnett is currently the leading assist maker in the league and Ryan Longman has also proven since he signed that he is a great option to have on the right hand side.
There was some surprise that Bolton did not depart the club in January however, upon return from injury it would be no surprise should he leave the club in the summer with a lack of opportunities apparent for the defender.
