Wrexham have become one of the most-talked about clubs in the game and one player wishes his Wrexham career had come a little later.
Wrexham have gone from being stuck in non-league to dreaming of the Premier League.
Hollywood ownership has simply taken the club into a different stratosphere after Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds paid £2million to purchase Wrexham.
Wrexham have now become worldwide news thanks to McElhenney, Reynolds and rise of the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series.
This isn’t just an off-field publicity stunt though as Wrexham have also produced the results on the pitch.
Back-to-back promotions now have Wrexham challenging in League One – and with dreams of going even higher.

Wrexham spent more than 10 outside of League One and so many players in the teams would have loved to play under Phil Parkinson.
The results are great, the Wrexham fans are filling the stadium, the publicity is enormous… trips to Las Vegas being funded by McElhenney and Reynolds can’t be bad either.
Goalkeeper Michael Ingham has now spoken to The Leader and admitted that he wished his Wrexham career had come a little later.
Ingham joined Wrexham on loan from Sunderland in 2004 before completing a permanent move to the STōK Cae Ras in 2005.
Ingham turned out 80 times for Wrexham in all competitions before heading on to Hereford United, York City and Tadcaster Albion.
Now 44, Ingham has admitted that he always felt Wrexham were a ‘bigger club’ than they were performing at in League Two.
Ingham added that he still checks Wrexham results now and just wishes that he was 15 years younger and able to play for this Wrexham side right now.
The former goalkeeper even joked about being an extra in a film with McElhenney and Reynolds offering Hollywood opportunities; we saw Ollie Palmer in the Deadpool trailer after all and Paul Mullin appeared as ‘Welshpool’ in Deadpool.
“I don’t think I am talking out of turn but when I was there, you could feel that it should be a bigger club,” said Ingham. “It was well supported anyway but you felt the frustrations from the fans. It is great to see that it is now going in the right direction.
“There is a lot of jealousy towards the club from other clubs which is up to other clubs to realise. But I know it’s a great club, it is a well-supported club with great people in the area and I wish them all the very best.
“They deserve it and I hope it continues. Straight after a game, it is one of the first results that I look for. I have watched the documentary and it is great to see what is happening there. I just wish I was 15 years younger and I got signed again. I know Paul Mullin got a role in one of the films, I wouldn’t mind being an extra as a dog or something!” he added.
Ingham now coaching alongside ex-Manchester United talent
Ingham ended his playing days in 2021, leaving Tadcaster at the age of 41 having served as the club’s captain.
Now turning to coaching, Ingham is working alongside Jonathan Greening at Scarborough Athletic.
Former Manchester United talent Greening played alongside Ingham at Tadcaster Albion and the pair are now on the touchline together.
Scarborough currently sit 16th in National League North but Ingham will have dreams of going much higher as a coach – possibly even crossing paths with Wrexham again in the future.
