Wrexham have been transformed under the ownership of Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
The Red Dragons had been floundering in the National League for over a decade when Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds bought the club in 2021.
Wrexham missed out on the play-offs during the American’s first few months in charge, seeing Dean Keates sacked and Phil Parkinson brought in.
Parkinson guided the Welsh outfit to the play-off finals in 2021/22 before eventually gaining promotion to League Two the following season.
The Wrexham manager then won another swift promotion into the third tier ahead of 2024/25.
Despite facing off against sides like Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town, who have Championship-level players and bigger budgets, the newly-promoted side are currently second in League One going into the latest round of games.
Now, with a third-straight promotion still within reach, George Dobson has opened up on the secret to Wrexham’s success.

George Dobson reveals secret behind Wrexham success
As is to be expected, rival clubs have not been shy about making digs at the club due to who their owners are.
Bolton’s manager aimed a dig at Reynolds and McElhenney over their spending back in August.
But when speaking recently, as per Leader Live, George Dobson believes it’s something other than their owners that has led to Wrexham being so successful.
While Dobson did mention the ‘glitz and glamour’ now associated with the club, he believes it’s Wrexham’s ability to be consistent and ‘churn out’ results that has led to their success in recent years.
He said: “The thing that’s got the club success is the ability to be consistent and have that grittiness to churn out results.
“The club in the last three-and-a-half years has been used to winning a lot of football matches and you don’t just do that by having the glitz and glamour.
“You’ve got to have that desire and grittiness to to be able to churn out results on the cold nights and on the tough pitches to still be able to win games.
“The club’s doing it at the minute and we’ve just got to try and continue to do that.”
George Dobson verdict on his Wrexham stint so far
Dobson joined the Red Dragons on a free transfer from Charlton Athletic over the summer.
He has since started all but one of their League One fixtures this term, only missing the Burton Albion win due to suspension.
The midfielder is expected to return ahead of Cambridge United this weekend and, in the same interview, spoke about his time at Wrexham and run in the team.
He said: “I must be doing something right! I am happy with that.
“Obviously coming into the club with so many good players, I knew it was going to be a fight for the shirt and you’ve got to perform to keep it.
“Hopefully I can just keep performing and keep the shirt for as long as I can.”
