Wrexham have fallen down the Championship table in the last couple of weeks and are now closer to the relegation zone than the play-offs.
Prior to the October international break, Wrexham drew 1-1 with their old League One promotion rivals, Birmingham City.
Their previous two encounters were also 1-1 stalemates with Leicester City and Derby County.
It means that the Red Dragons are sitting 18th in the Championship table ahead of their upcoming fixture with Stoke City.

The Championship is a volatile division, however, and Josh Windass has been discussing how teams can make it into the play-offs despite not winning on a consistent basis.

Can Wrexham make it into Championship play-offs
Wrexham have never finished in the top half of the second tier previously.
But there is still a long way to go this season, and there are plenty of points up for grabs.
At present, Wrexham are four points away from the bottom three and five adrift of sixth-place Queens Park Rangers.
Now, as per Leader Live, Windass has been speaking about the play-offs and how a team doesn’t actually need to win constantly to earn a spot.
He said: “I think this is the only division where you can lose a couple and then win a couple and still be right in the mix, whereas in League One and League Two you can’t really afford to slip up,” said Windass, who has been Reds’ captain for the last few matches.
“As you have seen in this division last season, the last play-off spot was 60-odd points, which is not a team that is winning so many games.
“So if you can win as many games as you can, you have always got a good chance.”
Opta predict Wrexham’s Championship play-off chances
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac want to take Wrexham to the Premier League.
Their best chance of achieving that goal does seem to be by winning the play-offs.
The Red Dragons have never won promotion via the play-offs previously, but that will likely have to change if they are to escape the second tier.
Ahead of the latest round of games, Opta gives the Welsh outfit a 6.70% chance of promotion via the play-offs, while their chances of going up automatically are just 1.40%.
