Wrexham could make history by securing a third promotion in a row this season, and Ollie Rathbone has been discussing the mood inside the changing room.
The 2024/25 League One campaign is nearing its conclusion, and Wrexham have put themselves into a great position ahead of their next outing.
The Red Dragons face Cambridge United on Tuesday evening and go into the tie sat second in the table.
However, their spot in the top two is by no means guaranteed as they are currently locked in a tight battle with Wycombe Wanderers.
Wrexham are three points ahead of the Chairboys but Wycombe have a game in hand and better goal difference.
As a result, if Mike Dodds’ men win the remainder of their matches, they will take the final automatic promotion place.

However, Wycombe have some tough fixtures coming up, facing off with several of the play-off chasers in their final few matches.
Meanwhile, Ollie Rathbone has been discussing the prospect of Wrexham winning yet another promotion.
The midfielder joined from Rotherham United over the summer and was not part of their previous two promotion-winning seasons.
However, as per Leader Live, Rathbone believes Wrexham’s recent success will ‘make the difference’ as they aim to go back-to-back-to-back.
He said: “Winning breeds winning and when you come into an environment where people are used to it, it makes a huge difference and it is easy to fit in.
“You sense it after a game in the fact that some of the senior players, the manager and the coaching staff are like ‘well done, onto the next one’.
“There is no over-celebrating or pats on the back as such.
“It is well done, that’s what we came here to do, and onto the next one.”
How Wrexham players feel about promotion
It would be a historic feat for Wrexham if they do go up in 2024/25.
Chester FC previously won three promotions in a row, but they only made it as high as the National League after securing their third.
And Rathbone has revealed how the players in the dressing room currently feel about potentially getting promoted yet again.
He said: “It’s the club’s first season back in League One and I think a lot of people would have taken top half, so to be where we are is all down to ourselves and the hard work we’ve put in.
“We want to keep it going, keep focusing on every game and see where it takes us.
“We all know that it could be really special, something huge for the club and the supporters.
“The changing room is fuelled by it but we are not fazed by it. We can’t let it be a daunting thing.
“It has got to be something that we rise to, be excited by it. I think that is the way it is in the changing room.”
